Day 124 of 365+1: a picture a day for a year.

American Indians didn’t pay taxes or govern in debt. Peace was a way of life- no one was on a left or right ‘team’ that had to win. Their belief was that everything on earth had a purpose and every person had a mission. Women did most of the work and were well respected. Nothing was wasted.

I can’t believe the white man barged in thinking he could improve upon this.

Humankind has not woven the web of life.
We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
All things are bound together.
All things connect.

The quote under your beautiful photo is very powerful: Chief Seattle seems to state that whatever happens in my life is MY making- I can not praise or blame anyone besides mysel.
